Hope this finds you and yours well! Our small family endured through many changes this past year. Seri Elizabeth Pauline Dresslar, our first grandchild, celebrated her first birthday on November 29, 2001. Olga suffered through a diagnosis and treatment for stomach cancer beginning in April, 2000. Olga died from the disease on May 16, 2001 Our lawsuit against the Austin Independent School District over a zero-tolerance policy ended a short three weeks before Olga's passing when we settled out of court. The University of Texas Longhorn football team began its 2001 season on September 1, 2001, won every home game, lost a bitterly disappointing Big XII Championship Game, and finished the season with a great come from behind victory over the Washington Huskies in the Holiday Bowl. And, of course, we all witnessed the theft of the presidential election in December 2000. Much of what we enjoyed, suffered and lived through can be found in our pages.
